Why did I create RN Specialty Academy?

RN Specialty Academy was created to bridge the gap between nursing school and the real-world demands of the emergency department. With over 10 years of experience in emergency nursing, I repeatedly heard the same concern: "Nursing school did not prepare me for the real world." And it’s true—nursing school’s primary goal is to help you pass the NCLEX. While this is a critical milestone, passing the NCLEX only proves you have the bare minimum knowledge, which falls short of the level of care we aspire to provide.

As a new grad in your first 3-6 months, you’ll be bombarded with information while juggling the care of four or more patients in a fast-paced emergency setting. This can feel overwhelming and stressful. That’s where RN Specialty Academy comes in. Our course is designed to lay a strong foundation, providing the down-and-dirty basics you need to hit the ground running. We focus on practical, real-world knowledge to prepare you for the challenges of emergency nursing and help you thrive in this rewarding specialty.
